view of east end of south aisleDuring the Late Middle Ages St George's Windsor was a popular destination for pilgrims. Its most important relics were the bodies of two reputed saints: Henry VI and John Schorne. But it also possessed a fragment of the True Cross held in a reliquary called the Cross of Gneth. These relics all appear to have been displayed at the east end of the south choir aisle.
