Non-profit Tax exempt status

The St George's (Windsor Castle) Foundation is a non-profit tax exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Code (EIN # 31-1782818) and is able to accept donations from American tax payers Specifically the foundation is classified as a Type I supporting organization under IRC 509(a)(3) and as such is considered a public charity for US tax purposes.
