The Finance Office of the College of St George covers the complete accounting requirements of three small charities and one trading subsidiary operating within Windsor Castle. Following a recent retirement, the College is restructuring the financial function and wishes to recruit an Assistant Accountant into its small team.
The prime responsibilities of the role will be associated with the computerised monthly payroll processes and bank reconciliations but will also cover some nominal ledger control and sales ledger work. This position will involve dealing directly with non financial colleagues.
Applicants will need to show proven competence in all aspects of payroll matters, be highly literate in IT (Word, Excel & Outlook) and have solid experience in general accounting procedures. Exposure to period and year end processes would be advantageous and a careful and methodical approach will be important.
It is envisaged that the role requires a commitment to 2 days a week but the College will try to be flexible about hours with the right candidate. The salary will be pro-rata equivalent to £26,000.
