Pupils from Year 3 to Year 8 have their Art lessons in our specialist Art Room. This gives them a great opportunity to work with a wide range of media, including clay, wire and textiles, as well as building skills in drawing, painting, developing ideas and creativity.
There is an ever changing display of the work created by the pupils, making for a stimulating and interesting environment.
Portraits – Self-portraits by Amina and Sean-Paul. They enlarged their image by using a grid and painted with particular regard to skin tones.
Prints – Block prints by Andrew and Caitlin. They scratched their designs into polystyrene blocks, thinking about texture and pattern in their work.
Daffodils– Nicholas drew daffodils from observation.
Landscape – Elysia experimented with different paint effects and then cut and arranged them to create a landscape.
