South Quire Aisle display – a beetles eye view

In the 1920s the Chapel underwent major renovations to safeguard it for the future. The ravenous attentions of woodworm meant that the woodwork in the Chapel was particularly in need of attention. From 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023, a display of photographs and documents from the Archives will be open to the public in the south quire aisle of St George’s Chapel. The items on display mark the hundredth anniversary of the decade long restoration of St George’s Chapel under the direction of Sir Harold Brakspear.

Normal opening hours are Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 4pm. Windsor Castle admission charges
